John 8:15 Gk according to the fles As you will recall, the account of the Woman Taken in Adultery (7:53-8:11) isn't in the earliest manuscripts of John's Gospel, so the context of today's lesson goes back to the previous chapter, and continues Jesus' sayings at the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem John 3:16 - the all important word begotten is omitted, thus denying the deity of Christ; John 3:13 - which is in heaven is omitted John 5:4 - entire verse omitted ; John 7:53 - 8:11 -- entire passage is questioned in a note which says, The most ancient Greek manuscripts do not include John 7:53 - 8:11 John.
